Lily didn't sound to good, she tried to avoid the questions...

I realized yesterday, that Lily didn't like my email.

Well, I have tried to be honest.. Yes, but I think she doesn't want to talk about that. but her favorite line, I don't remember that..
Well, what can you do..

I have my peace.. Yes, that has been the goal of all this. I finally seen her again and she is now my best friend but I still remember our moments, but they were small. We didn't like go out and stuff, we just hung out at school and that was it.. so, there was no hanging out and partying and stuff like that..

I don't think, I would be able to control her and that is not my job. I am glad Adam has her because that is his job now and not mine..

what was I thinking? Yea what were you thinking...

I always thought of her as good, no drinking and all this but reality sets in and you grow up. Yes, this is good for me because now I can see and now I understand.... I have been such a fool for all these years..

I am free now, what do I do now?

Take some risk and live again...

I finally accepted my place with Lily..

I had a great walk this morning. I was really thinking and realizing that life is random and you never know what will happen. Yes, I am free today, because what if this and that.. We humans get stuck in this bs... Yes, I was stuck in time but today, I can move on and make things work.. Yes, I have finally come to realize that I have been o.k. all this time.. Yes, but the issue is when will all this end?

Well, Lets live life and do your best...

I can't control anything and it's when you realize you have no control over anything are you really free... Yes, I am free today..

I have closure and I have accepted that Lily only wants me to help her kids... I don't see anything there for me and never have.. Just let go..

Move on...

Lily's christmas Party...

Lily's Christmas Party

The party was great which they had the traditional tamales and I arrived in time which I didn't arrive to early. Yes, this was good. I meet Lily first which I saw her through the window and I was really worried, I could feel something... Well,I said hello and she let me in and she gave me a hug. Yes, this was really great....I hug from her, which I will always remember.
Then, I entered and placed my tamales in the kitchen area. She then offered me some of her tamales and this was great.. Since adam was there, I right away payed attention to him because I really didn't want him to get the wrong idea of my intentions? What are they? they are none, lily is an old friend from high school...
Well, now I know that Adam is actaully 50 or older but the issue is that I am the prize...
Yes, when I gave lily her christmas card, he and lily went to the back area which I think they opened up the card, but what was the issue? I really don't know? They were both in agreement.. I have come to accept and realized she is only using me... Yes, it is sad but that is her goal.... Well, it's better to know and accept that now then figure it out..
She expects me to help adam and her kids in the future... She never is in love with me or anything she is doing this for adam which I can help him... Yes, I finally figured it out...

then, me and adam were talking about the bible. I told him when I have problems, that I read the book of proverbs.... That is my favorite... Yes it is...


I just went for a walk to the park.

I have cleared my head. I have come to accept that Lily will never be mine, but she will always be my friend. This is the greatest gift...

machine shop

I installed four camera at the shop.

The which I have the rear area which you can see what is being done and the front area which you walk in to the shop. I installed a dome camera in the hall way to the front door. I also installed and outside camera which see's who comes in and out of the shop. The main goal is make sure all this stuff works.... I have found some really good stuff....


Lets make this work...

I was paid $750.00 with a check which I spent about $425.00 so, the profit was $300.00

This lists decisions to be made in the design or selection of a hypermedia information system. It assumes familiarity with the concept of hypertext. A summary of the uses of hypertext systems is followed by a list of features which may or may not be available. The Bruno party the day after...

I had such a good time that I sang and I also realized that all this time I had it..
I have also realized my workers are the one who help me do everything. You give them your time and they will help you out...

I have such a great feeling, I am free today... I have seen lily one more time and realize she isn't all that... I had the biggest illusion of her which I am glad it has been seatled... Yes this is over for me.... Should, I show up? I really don't think so... Yes, that would be the best thing to do.. I will just drop off my tamales and her present and that is all... Yes that is all you can... I have realized that I have it....

I read the book on conversations with God..

This book has such great insights that I realized that I am the creator of all this and that...It's me all this time.....I finally have come to peace with myself.... This has been the biggest issue....


The main issue is that you are free today.. Yes, this has been the goal all this time....

I am finally free... Yes, I have realized that everything is just as it is...

I am ready for what ever.... I am secure, because I am God... yes, I have finally realized that it's all up to me. Life is love and there is also fear...so, these are the two powers in the universe if.. you see love then that is all you know and understand... If, you see fear you are not able to take risk......

So, now I have realized who and what I am... Thank you God.... I have found you and you have always been me... Yes, I have always been here just waiting for you to realize the truth....

Thank you Jesus for teaching me that God wasn't outside, but he was inside of us and he is us.... Yes, I have found everything thank you God...

I am trully free today,.... Thank you God...

I think what happen is that I enrolled in class but I realized that no one speak's the correct spanish.. So, this has been my new growth.. I now have to go to the next level.. Yes it's japanese..

Pily isn't doing any better, first I dumped Lily now it's pily... I am free now...

Pily

I went to visit her but I didn't have anything there. I helped her by making copy of the DVD for her dad, but she didn't even know I was there.

She went to get something to eat without asking me, it was like if I wasn't even there.. This really hurt me because I was sitting there and she leaves which I felt really bad..
I really didn't want to be around, I know they thing I am wired but I have learned to let go...

I now have been free from Lily which I realized she is human and she drinks and is a ho, but now I have to dump pily.. Pily has always been ill, but she was the replacement for Lily but now this has ended for me...... I am now truely free......I have to learn to let go now..

I have finally gotten my freedom but what do I do now? I sometimes feel like I am not allowed to be free for some reason... This is really stupid, but I am free today.. Yes, I am free.....

This is a great feeling.... Moving on....

I need to place my root somewhere which I have realized I have been all over the place,but now I need to place some roots...

What a day, I helped set up the tarp and some minor stuff... This was really great because I spent some time with Adam which we shared some ideas... He wants to start his own business but he is looking for a good partner... Well, I think the plan is having me work with him and have lily as our main operator... Yes, that would be great, but I do my own stuff...

I also realized that she drinks alot but I never knew that, but again she was just having fun and she was in company of friends so that was o.k.. I need to realize that I have to let things go also0.... I have realized that she was happy today and she had a good time.... This is what is most important.. She danced with me and we did some old stuff which was great.... It was really fun... How can you forget this and it was stuff that I always wanted to do....It's great to have closure on these feelings and realize she is married and just a friend....

She is his problem. I didn't know but adam is 50.. Well, he is ten years older then me but again so what...

At any company, it's easy to get into a rut of spending your day reading e-mail and going to meetings. That's not a productive way of doing business.

I talk to people in the elevator and ask them what they're doing. I was talking to one of our heads of R&D and learned about a programming challenge they were facing with customer records. I said I'd write a procedure that does all the things we need to do and gave his team 20 lines of code.

My code ended up processing 100 million records. I wanted to challenge the programmers by showing them that, hey, if I can do this stuff, you can do this stuff. And I wanted to be able to converse with them at the basic, lowest level of programming on how this stuff works. I was so thrilled with what I'd done -- so proud, I guess -- that I gave seminars to all of our programmers on how to do it.

By now most people in Silicon Valley know this is my mantra, but I'm not sure they know what it means. It isn't as crazy as it sounds; it's really a corollary to Murphy's Law, which states that everything that can go wrong will go wrong. If that's so, then the paranoid have an advantage. I was always amused at how the phrase caught on -- and who wanted to be considered even more paranoid than I am. Once, when I was receiving an honor at Harvard University, Bill Gates was saying some nice things about me on a video and said he had only one quibble: that he was the most paranoid.

I think the rule is more relevant than ever today. The U.S. economy is getting hollowed out, industry by industry. Health care is about to become one-sixth of the U.S. economy, and yet for the most part it's an industry that has never taken advantage of digital technology. Our country's infrastructure is fragile, even precarious. Just look at New Orleans. So I would say, Duh. We'd better be paranoid. I know I am. But not about Intel. One of the benefits of no longer being the company's chief "paranoid" officer is that someone else gets to do that now.

We have to take "beach time" -- a space for ourselves -- every day because we live in a world of burnout. Even if you take 20 to 30 minutes for yourself, you'll be a better worker, a better colleague, a better person. It benefits the people around you as much as it benefits you.

Don't feel guilty to do your own thing during that time. And I don't necessarily mean going to the gym. I never go to the gym. I have a view of one across the street from where I live in New York. It's 7:30 at night, when you should be thinking about dinner and relaxing, and the gym is full of people.

I take my beach time each morning. I have a glass of water, and I walk along Bank Street to the Hudson River. A walk is the cheapest and best exercise, and it's the best 20 minutes of my day. It's an element of what I call "French Zen."

Prahalad, and started working on the first of what would become 15 articles for the Harvard Business Review and two books. And as I looked around for role models and mentors, it quickly became obvious that the people who had really made a difference in the world of management -- from Frederick Winslow Taylor to Mary Parker Follett, W. Edwards Deming to Taiichi Ohno -- were all rebels. Constructive rebels, but rebels nonetheless.

As the pace of change accelerates, the value of precedent will continue to wane. Today the most important thing is to regard everything you believe as nothing more than a set of hypotheses, forever open to being disproved. A healthy disrespect for precedent is the ultimate advantage in a world where the future is less and less an extrapolation of the past. By the way, being a contrarian is usually not as risky as the custodians of convention typically make out. Somewhere along the way, I got tenure.

This was the hardest thing to learn when I was 19. When we first started doing Penn & Teller shows, I thought that if you had a contract, it was enforced. I thought there were the contract police -- so you'd sign a contract that says you're going to give me a million dollars, and if you don't have a million dollars, someone will step in and give me my million anyway. Right.

That's one of the hardest lessons for a guy like me who has no interest in business but now runs a multimillion-dollar enterprise. A contract is not much of a legal document. It's just an agreement that two people who trust each other have made. You can't enter into a contract with anyone that you wouldn't make a handshake deal with, because everything comes down to a handshake deal.

The more experience I got in showbiz, the less I read the contracts. Now I don't bother. If I can't make the deal in a phone call, and have them understand it, then it's not a worthwhile deal. You're making a deal with the people, not with the contract. That's a mistake that people make a lot: "We've got it in writing now." The contract is clarification, but it's not enforcement.

This is especially true in television, where so many people just keep their eye on what the other networks are doing. They'll try to find the next Desperate Housewives, but the look-alikes never amount to a whole lot. I've done that a couple of times and fallen flat on my face. So I try not to get distracted by what worked for others.

I always have an eye on the competition, but it's not to do what they're doing. It's to see where the holes are. I've built businesses by looking at conventional wisdom and going exactly the opposite way.

Xerox's founder, Joe Wilson, used to always say this, and it's become my own golden rule. The way I see it, if you forget the customer, nothing much else matters. The brand deteriorates, employees lose jobs, and shareholders lose value. My mantra around Xerox is to ensure that the customer is connected to everything we do. It's why every senior leader -- from our head of human resources to our general counsel -- is assigned a customer account to cover.

I remember getting on the elevator one morning at headquarters around the time of a quarterly earnings report, and our chief accountant stepped in right before the door closed. I started to ask him how the numbers were looking, but he was more interested in debriefing me on a customer call he'd just made in Louisiana. Our elevator ride turned into a longer discussion about billing resolutions for this customer (though I did finally get the analysis of our earnings numbers out of him).

This is why I make hundreds of customer calls each year. Hearing firsthand from our customers about their relationships with Xerox changes my perspective on the toughest of business decisions.

My grandfather ran a general store, and if a customer needed something that wasn't in stock, he did whatever it took to get the item -- even running across the street to a competitor -- rather than ask the customer to take her business elsewhere. He never told me, "Take care of others, and they'll take care of you" -- he didn't have to. I saw it happen.

When I entered the aviation business, I never thought in terms of "passengers" or "tickets sold" but of "people" and "customers." It was distressing to hear airline colleagues complain about the customers -- even going so far as to say how much easier it would be for them if there were fewer passengers.

When JetBlue started flying in February 2000, my goal was to bring humanity back to air travel. We hire nice people and train them in the skills they require to help run the airline. Maximize the compromises; otherwise you do not win in global business. My education along this path began during the six years I served as president of Volvo Cars in Japan. In Japanese culture, you do not allow one party in a negotiation to lose face. Trust grows from an honorable exchange, when everyone walks away from the table feeling good about a deal. To do that I had to master the art of listening. Actually, I thought I was a good listener before I went to Japan. Once there, I discovered that listening is not only about words but about observing body language and the nuances of give and take. Compromise, in Japan, springs from empathy.

I left Japan and moved to Brussels to head up Volvo Cars in Europe. Compromise is necessary in Europe as well, but it demands a different set of skills there. The cultures of Europe are extremely independent and rooted in their respective identities. Consider how difficult it has been to form a European Union and you get a sense of the obstacles to reaching consensus on any marketing strategy. Maximizing a compromise, however, does not mean losing yourself so that you can please others. You have to be fully yourself; never pretend to be someone else. From that position of strength, create a win-win solution for all parties. Then be very disciplined in the follow-up so that you leave nothing unanswered.

This idea, which proved to be one of the most important eureka moments for Salesforce.com, came to me while I was at Ozumo, a popular sushi bar in San Francisco, where I often go after work. I was dining with an important prospective client, and I was working hard to sell him on Salesforce.com and our future strategy when -- without any prompting -- an existing customer approached me and told me how successful his company had been with Salesforce.com. Word of mouth can make or break a product offering. While many companies have lost their market positions because of the well-known product failures they've experienced, just the opposite can also be true. By offering customers an opportunity to talk about their success, companies can create what author Malcolm Gladwell calls the "tipping point" -- a convergence that can propel a small company into a household brand. At Salesforce.com, this has meant developing our 308,000 subscribers into the biggest sales force in the business. Sure, our customers may be getting a free hamburger on us, but with their endorsements to prospects, we're getting the ketchup and mustard on top.

Amazon.com opening up Alexa

John Battelle has the scoop on Amazon.com opening up the technological guts of its Alexa Internet division.

Battelle -- author of The Search -- said the idea could change the rules of the search game. And if the idea works, he said it could position Amazon as a major player in search.

"Developers, researchers, web site owners, and merchants can get information about Web sites, such as traffic data, contact info and related links, as well as an xml-based search engine and browse service, and incorporate them directly into their own Web sites or services."

The Wall Street Journal weighs in, with comments from Alexa CEO Bruce Gilliat who said the service could help startup companies develop new online applications.

Ray Ozzie update his letter good idea read it...

I have read some articles on Yahoo buying Del.icio.us and flicker. I have seen these websites which are great. I am seeing more and more social networking which once we have our friends we are communicating only with them. So, it’s become custom and these websites can enhance that experience. Yes, the main issue is making this experience simple..

I read the article on Ozzie last night again, but like he said make it simple because if you make it difficult for the customer they will run… Yes, this is true… But, again social networking is the new format.

I was watching a video on RSS which you can see IE 7 will use this also, but this is good because when something is uploaded you get it at your place… So, this is the same as my news that I use with Google.. Yes, because these websites have the RSS and when they have a new article is shows up. Yes, this is great tool, but you have to make some time to get the info you want. Remember it’s the specific info you need… This just saves you time from visiting the site and reading and finding the area, it will be sent to you through Rss… Now this is the goal and this is the new application..

I also read about vblogs which I still need more info on…

Ray Ozzie worked on Plato which he saw an Online community, instant messaging, email. This was before Online communities existed..

In 1997, Mr. Ozzie founded Groove Networks to make advanced collaboration software using Internet peer-to-peer technology, well before the arrival of Napster and peer-to-peer networks for sharing music. Groove was a technological triumph, but not a big commercial success. Microsoft bought Groove this year to pick up its technology - and Mr. Ozzie.

Fxm: So, he was into the peer to peer idea, but you have to remember this was like the first networking ideas out there.. Yes, it is still being used today, but this is how it started..

In meetings of senior executives, the subject of how to cope with the Internet services shift in computing, how to turn it into an opportunity for Microsoft, was a constant theme - and one that deeply interested Mr. Ozzie. "Within a month, Ray was putting his thoughts on software-as-services on paper," noted Jeff Raikes, president of Microsoft's business division, which includes the Office products and corporate software.

Fxm: So, you can see he was already trying to tell Microsoft that software as service was the way to go. This is what google does and other companies… Yes, I am starting to understand more..

The memo is peppered with technical acronyms, and rivals are named. While Microsoft is progressing on several fronts, Mr. Ozzie wrote, "a set of very strong and determined competitors is laser-focused on Internet services and service-enabled software."

Fxm: Yes, because its all about client software which I can be anywhere.. Yes this is what I have been doing with my email…. Well, its working..

The companies to watch, Mr. Lucovsky wrote, have "embraced the network, deeply understand the concept of 'software as a service' and know how to deliver incredible value to their customers efficiently and quickly."

Fxm: embraced the network understand software as a service… So, it’s the network which is being on the internet and only giving customers the software they need which is the service… So, the software is the service…

Yes, I am understanding now much better.. It’s the software which is the service and the network his connecting you to this service..

Mr. Ozzie is understandably careful in what he writes and says; his role at Microsoft is mainly to lead and encourage rather than to criticize. He emphasizes the importance of Microsoft's big desktop products like Windows and Office, and he says that Internet services should be seen primarily as a way to continually update and improve its offerings. Those updates and improvements, he said, should make Microsoft software teams happier by moving their work into the marketplace faster.

"People like to have fun doing what they're doing, and people who build software have fun by having people use their stuff," Mr. Ozzie said in the interview.

Fxm: well it’s internet services but people use your stuff to have fun.. Yes, this I how you grow because they are trying it and having fun..

Yet Microsoft will also selectively offer Web services that do over the Internet some of what Office and Windows do on the desktop. The company took measured steps in that direction last month, when it introduced Windows Live and Office Live. Windows Live lets consumers manage their e-mail, instant messaging, blogs, photos and podcasts in one site. Office Live enables small businesses to set up Web sites and e-mail systems, and to provide collaboration sites for teams. Both will be supported by advertising and perhaps some subscription fees.

Fxm: so, this is his idea of using this technology. Remember keep your eyes open for open office…Yes, keep your eyes open and get all info on this product..

But Internet services represent a more open, competitive model. "Software itself is going to be free, and you get paid for services that are supported either by ads or by subscription charges," said Mitchell Kapor, the founder of Lotus Development who is president of the Open Source Applications Foundation, which develops free software for personal information like calendars and contacts. "For Microsoft, this is a bigger challenge than the rise of the Internet itself in 1995."

Fxm: we are going to be paying for the software as a service but this can be paid by add companies…

RECENT innovations have enabled Web-based software to look and respond more like desktop applications. Offering Internet alternatives to traditional PC programs are a new breed of start-ups, including Writely.com, for word processing; NumSum, for spreadsheets; and Zimbra and Scalix, both e-mail. I.B.M. has Web-based software called WorkPlace that is used by millions of workers. And Salesforce.com has built a fast-growing business by supplying customer relationship management software as an Internet service.

Fxm: so we are looking at a different way of doing business but it’s about the client idea… Yes it’s great..

"No piece of software will replace Microsoft's Outlook, Word or Excel, but Web services will eat away at core areas of its Office suite over the next couple of years," said Marc Benioff, chief executive of Salesforce.com.

Fxm: Marc Benioff is saying sure, we will never be a windows excel, word or what ever but WEB services will eat away at that office suite.. So, it’s these services that you get anywhere.. You are not linked to one computer that is the idea…Yes, I have realized that email myself my stuff and it’s already being done today… Yes, it’s great, but again you have to learn how to organize these idea.s..

f that happens, Microsoft's business could be battered. Mr. Colony of Forrester Research predicts that Microsoft's profit margins, under pressure from Internet services, could fall by 40 percent or so over the next four years. A wild card is the hand that Google will play beyond search and how successful it may be. Mr. Colony, for example, says he thinks that Google will make a big difference. "I believe Google will revolutionize the software business," he wrote in a recent report.

Google has desktop search software and a Web-based e-mail service, two offerings aimed at parts of Microsoft's stronghold. How much further it plans to go in providing alternatives to Microsoft's software is uncertain, though it certainly looks interested.

Google was among the companies that attended a meeting last month at I.B.M.'s headquarters in Armonk, N.Y., of the Open Document Foundation, a group formed to agree on freely available formats for word processing, spreadsheets and other office documents; the idea is to come up with alternatives to Microsoft's proprietary Office formats. And for the last few months, Google has talked with Wyse Technology, a maker of so-called thin-client computers (without hard drives).

Fxm: So, you can see we are being web based more and more and it’s all about the network.

The discussions are focused on a $200 Google-branded machine that would likely be marketed in cooperation with telecommunications companies in markets like China and India, where home PC's are less common, said John Kish, chief executive of Wyse. "Google is on a path to developing a stack of software in competition with the Microsoft desktop, and one that is much more network-centric, more an Internet service," Mr. Kish said. "And this fits right into that."

Fxm: So, they wyse companie likes google because they are making there $200.00 laptop possible because you don’t need a hard drive you can do everything over the internet and that is where they save money.. Yes, you have the software but that is the service..

Yet Mr. Ozzie's view is that Microsoft's fate is in its own hands. If it charts its technology and business plans wisely, harnessing the talents of its army of smart people, he said, it should grow and prosper in this next wave of Internet computing. He speaks of a thriving "ecosystem" of open competition in which developers and customers have many choices and in which Microsoft's future is not in crushing rivals but in becoming an attractive choice.

Fxm: Microsoft has to be ready because everyone is going toward the web based service and they have to be there also..

In the past, Microsoft executives have decried free software, with its collaborative open-source development style, as akin to communism, if not downright evil. Not Mr. Ozzie. "I consider open-source software to be part of the environment, like the Internet," he said. "It's not the enemy and it's not going to go away. It's great for developers.

Fxm: open source is being open which they are realizing they need to be in here..

"And if we don't keep continually updating our offerings and develop better offerings," Mr. Ozzie added, "then shame on us."

The Microsoft strategy, he said, has to be to develop tools and technology that make it easier to build software for the Internet-services era and easier for users to have more productive and enjoyable computing experiences. In a sense, it's a reinvention of old Windows vision of computing, but in a very different competitive context from the desktop world that Microsoft ruled.

The new game plan, Mr. Ozzie said, is "obviously not an altruistic thing, but it doesn't even resemble the environment of old."

Fxm: well we have to change because web based service is how everyone is using the internet today.. This is the new application and we need to be there for it..
