Tech working for free, unable to charge my customers...

Tech working for free.

I have just started working for my self about six months now. Well, I do get the jobs which I install alarm systems, stereo systems and Camera systems. The only issue is when it comes time to collect. I have the hardest time doing this.. I sometimes don't even ask for money... I am in debt now..
I really want to hire someone, but I am losing my shirt...

I have my customers cover the cost of my parts which they cover 100 percent but when it comes to my labor and time that is where I am not charging...

I dont know what it is.. Today, I just finished installing six cameras at a customers house which he did cover my cost on parts ,but when it came time to collect. I just didn't want to charge him because I thought I was bugging the person....


I am really thinking of going back to work which I don't think I can collect or charge my cusomers for my labor.... I don't like to work for ADT, and others companies....

What, can I do... Is there a good book out there...
